123CPE.org was founded to deliver a simple platform for CPAs seeking to meet their NASBA CPE requirements in Ethics and Accounting—especially those with mild or major vision loss. We bring high-quality, affordable, and accessible CPE solutions for CPAs across the country. Our mission is to make continuing education straightforward, inclusive, and supportive—especially for professionals with disabilities or those seeking a simpler, more user-friendly self-study option.
About the Curator
Eric J Matthews, MBA/CPA (Retired), has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida since the 1980s, and a trusted real estate professional along Florida’s Gulf Coast since 1979. Over two decades, Eric helped clients in Charlotte, Sarasota, Pinellas, and Manatee Counties buy, sell, and finance real estate, with a specialty in seller-financed transactions and large-scale deals. He built a reputation for client-centered service and a commitment to ethical practice, consistently ranking as a multi-million dollar producer. Eric remains in good standing with the Florida Board of Accountancy, with no history of disciplinary action as of July 2025.
After retiring due to extreme vision loss, Eric dedicated himself to supporting the blind and low-vision community. Through this CPE platform, Eric combines his accounting expertise and his passion for accessibility, ensuring that every CPA—regardless of ability—has a welcoming path to license renewal and professional educational development through a CPE-style platform.
